METHODS OF TEACHING SAXOPHONE PERFORMANCE TO PRIMARY SCHOOL STUDENTS

This article examines effective pedagogical approaches to teaching saxophone performance to primary school students. It highlights the importance of combining technical training with the development of musical hearing, rhythm perception, breath control, and creative thinking. Special attention is given to age-appropriate methodologies, including step-by-step instruction, play-based techniques, and motivational strategies. The study also explores the role of modern educational technologies and the use of simple musical pieces in the early stages of learning. The findings suggest that a structured yet engaging approach significantly enhances students’ musical abilities and long-term interest in instrumental performance.
