<h3>Introduction</h3><br>
<p>CALLHOME German Speech was developed by the Linguistic Data Consortium and consists of conversational telephone speech between native speakers of German.</p><br>
<h3>Data</h3><br>
<p>This corpus contains speech files from 100 unscripted telephone conversations and related documentation.</p><br>
<p>All calls originated in North America and were placed to locations outside North America (typically Europe). Most speakers called family members or close friends.</p><br>
<p>LDC has also released CALLHOME German Transcripts (<a href="http://catalog.ldc.upenn.edu/LDC97T15" rel="nofollow">LDC97T15</a>), which consists of transcriptions of portions of the speech in this release and CALLHOME German Lexicon (<a href="http://catalog.ldc.upenn.edu/LDC97L18" rel="nofollow">LDC97L18</a>), which contains words from CALLHOME German Transcripts.</p><br>
