Shasta County Racial and Identity Profiling Act (RIPA) Data 2022

This dataset contains Racial and Identity Profiling Act (RIPA) stop data reported by local law enforcement agencies in Shasta County for the year 2022. The data was retrieved from the California Department of Justice’s OpenJustice platform on March 20, 2024 (https://data-openjustice.doj.ca.gov/sites/default/files/dataset/2023-12/RIPA-Stop-Data-2022.zip). It provides detailed information on police stops, including the perceived race, ethnicity, gender, and age of individuals stopped by law enforcement, as well as the reason for the stop, actions taken during the stop, and the outcome.
