This study examines the presence of Pseudomonas spp. within the phytobiome of Belgian cereal crops,particularly wheat, and evaluates their contributions to agricultural ecosystems. Specifically, we exploredthe antagonistic activities of these bacteria against major wheat pathogens, the colonization capabilitiesof P. sivasensis on wheat, and its effectiveness in reducing symptoms of Zymoseptoria tritici infection.Additionally, we introduced Pseudomonas arvensis sp. nov., identified as a new inhabitant of the wheatmicrobiome, with DR1PS3 proposed as the type strain.
