Interactions Of Factors Affecting The Implementation Of Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) In The New Zealand Construction Industry

Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) is a collaborative construction approach that minimizes waste and enhances sustainability. It focuses on improving schedule, quality, cost, health, and safety through mutual respect and trust. Despite extensive literature, a comprehensive analysis of the interactions affecting IPD implementation is lacking. This study addressed this gap by conducting eighteen semi-structured interviews with New Zealand construction professionals, exploring themes such as Legal, Financial, Technological, Cultural/Organisational, Collaboration and Communication, and Governmental/Political factors. Using VENSIM software and various analysis methods, the research identified critical factors impacting IPD implementation. These insights can help researchers and practitioners promote sustainable construction practices in New Zealand.<br>
