资源简介:
Games, as a form of entertainment, encompass allure through sensory stimulation, diverse game content, and varied gameplay. Their utility extends beyond mere entertainment, reaching realms such as education, physiology, psychology, and society. However, excessive gaming can have adverse effects. According to the updated ICD-11, gaming disorder (GD) is classified as a mental, behavioral, or neurodevelopmental disorder, while the DSM-5 categorizes internet gaming disorder (IGD) as a form of addictive behavior. This study progresses by exploring the relationship between games and addiction. A search of the PubMed database yielded 990 relevant articles, and high-frequency terms such as "adolescent" (22.73%), "student" (16.87%), "young" (15.05%), "gaming" (47.58%), and "gamble" (23.23%) were identified for further investigation. Subsequently, a refined search using "game AND addiction AND adolescent AND (gaming OR gamble)" produced 93 articles, which were reduced to 60 after full-text scrutiny and further narrowed to 45 based on thematic alignment with the study. Through a thorough review of these key articles, it was observed that gambling behavior is not confined to gambling games alone; it may manifest in various games, such as card draws, lotteries, loot boxes, loot-based battles in collectible card games, and other in-game transactions. These activities, leveraging probability, entice spending behavior such as deposits, consumption, and purchases. Due to their classification outside traditional gambling, these behaviors are easily overlooked, posing concerns for researchers, as they are readily accessible to adolescents and may lead to spending, consumption, and addiction.
