The coverage contains 1965 vegetation polygons representing GCES monitoring sites. These data were developed as study by Dr. G. Waring Northern AZ. University of current and historical riparian vegetation trends in the Grand Canyon. These data were delineated from historical photography (enlarged to 1:2400 scale) flown on May 14, 1965. The flow of the Colorado River during acquisition was 24,000 to 28,000 CFS. These data were further edited by J. B. Sankey to only include polygons mapped by G. Waring with > 60 % vegetation canopy cover.
