Data for: Determination of Factors Affecting Transport Mode Choice in an Urban City of a Developing Country using Analytic Hierarchy Process: The Case of Metro Cebu, Philippines

The data comprises of demographic and socioeconomic profile, as well as reason for traveling, that are gathered from a survey of commuters in Metro Cebu, Philippines. Survey respondents make pairwise comparisons of five factors, namely (1) availability, (2) comfort, (3) cost, (4) safety, and (5) concern for the environment, that can affect their transport mode choice and are indicated in the spreadsheet to generate priority vectors of factors. Nine modes of transportation are also identified and compared in the same pairwise fashion - (1) Jeepney, (2) taxi, (3) private-hire cars, (4) for-hire motorcycle, (5) Multicab, (6) bus, (7) tricycle, (8) ferryboat, and (9) private car/motorcycle. Comparisons of modes of transportation are separately done based on each of the five factors to generate priority vector for each mode of transportation.
