The Hainan Dongzhaigang Mangrove Disturbance Dataset (1990–2020) records the mangrove disturbance status during the period from 1990 to 2020. Information on both anthropogenic and natural disturbances to mangroves is a critical basis for the scientific conservation and management of mangrove ecosystems. The mangroves within the Dongzhaigang Mangrove Nature Reserve represent the largest contiguous mangrove area, boast the richest species diversity, and enjoy the highest level of protection nationwide, playing a pivotal role in maintaining ecosystem balance and other ecological functions. This dataset, through analyzing the causes of disturbances, intends to provide technical support and foundational data for the scientific protection and management of mangroves.
