This project benchmarks predicting health outcomes in koalas using scat microbiome data and machine learning algorithms. Scat samples from 125 koalas were analyzed with 16S PacBio HiFi sequencing, integrating phylogenetic approaches and metrics like sex, age, and stress metabolites.
