According to a survey conducted in summer 2018, the leading aspect enterprises consider in the procurement and purchase of materials, goods and services is to ensure the quality of the procured goods. Despite an increasing importance of sustainability in Japanese businesses, promoting sustainable (CSR conform) procurement and adhering to corporate compliance falls behind involving the profitability of business operation.
