This series contains Commissions for Taking Evidence and the evidence gained from that Commission in suits before the Supreme Court or the County Court. In certain situations, evidence for the prosecution of a suit was available from witnesses who were outside Victoria. Commissions could be issued by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court to take that evidence and return it with the Commission to the Court.VPRS 495/P1 was formerly registered as VPRS 5499 Corr and Others Vs. Standard Insurance Company Return of Commission.
