Interview-based comparative assessment of birdwatching ecotourism potential in Shirvan and Gizilaghaj National Parks

This dataset contains an interview-based comparative assessment of birdwatching ecotourism potential in Shirvan and Gizilaghaj National Parks, Azerbaijan. The assessment was prepared based on expert input provided by Cavid Yahyayev, leading advisor at the Department for Organization of Biodiversity Conservation, Biological Diversity Conservation Service under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The dataset evaluates both national parks using a 1–5 scoring scale across six indicators: wetland bird observation potential, presence of Red Book species, suitability of observation seasons, infrastructure, ecotourism development potential, and green economy opportunities. The document is intended as supplementary research data for the study on the comparative assessment of the ecotourism potential and green economy opportunities of wetland bird observation in Shirvan and Gizilaghaj National Parks.
