PRM53 toxicity data

These files contain the final toxicity data used to calculate chronic species sensitivity distributions (SSDs) and ecotoxicity threshold values for each of the 53 pesticides included in the Pesticide Risk Metric (PRM) developed by Neelamraju, Mann, et al. (2025). The toxicity data were not generated as part of this study; rather, each data point was originally produced by independent researchers investigating the effects of these pesticides on aquatic organisms. To build a consistent and comprehensive dataset, toxicity values were systematically collated from multiple sources, including peer-reviewed literature, ecotoxicology databases, and guideline revision projects. All data points are fully referenced and attributed to their original studies; see the associated reference file for details on bioassay design and results.

The data were quality-screened using the nationally endorsed method for deriving water quality guidelines in Australia. This ensures that only reliable, well-documented toxicity values were used in SSD construction. The dataset reflects the most current available information as of August 2025. The resulting SSDs form the analytical foundation of the PRM, enabling the calculation of both individual and combined mixture toxicity from water quality monitoring data.
