16S rRNA gene V6 sequence data from station L4 in the Western English Channel, 2003 - 2008.

This dataset contains 16S rRNA gene V6 sequence data collected from surface water samples from the Western Channel Observatory site L4 from 2003 - 2008, along with accompanying environmental data. These data were used in Gilbert et al. (2012). Here, we have collated together all environmental data alongside the Operational Taxonomic Unit (OTU) table used in this publication together with links to the sequence data which can be downloaded as a .fna file from the MG RAST depository (https://www.mg-rast.org/). Within this dataset, the taxomy has been re-assigned using the latest methods and Silva database (Quast et al. 2012), and this data can be located in the OTU table.
