ETHOS.SteelLP-DE — Simulation Outputs (Steel Sector Load Profiles, Germany) ⚠️ **Placeholder upload.** This record is a preliminary placeholder and will be replaced with the final dataset once the corresponding dissertation has been successfully defended and accepted. This dataset contains the simulation outputs generated by **ETHOS.SteelLP-DE**, a bottom-up model of the German steel sector developed for the dissertation *"Bottom-up-Modellierung von Sektorlastprofilen der deutschen Stahlindustrie"* (*"Bottom-Up Modelling of Sector Load Profiles of the German Steel Industry"*) by Julian Belina (RWTH Aachen University). The accompanying source code that produces these outputs is published separately at: https://zenodo.org/records/20392572 Contents The dataset is organised along the eight sequential stages of the simulation pipeline: 1. `_01_energy_demands/` - literature-based specific energy demands (WV Stahl, DRI/EAF literature) feeding the model 2. `_02_preprocessing/` - scenario YAMLs, EAF reference and process-time tables 3. `_03_simulation/` - main simulation results per scenario and per plant 4. `_04_load_profile_aggregation/` - per-plant outputs aggregated into national load profiles 5. `_05_maintenance_simulation/` - maintenance randomisation applied to the aggregated national load profiles 6. `_06_validation/` - technical consistency checks, EAF model vs. literature, Destatis vs. WV Stahl, simulated vs. reference annual energy demand 7. `_07_postprocessing/` - combined load-profile plots, location and national comparisons, Gantt charts, load-profile characteristics 8. `_08_side_analyses/` - Jericho load profile and sensitivity analyses (heating demand, electricity production, energy-carrier groups) Three scenarios are covered: **Germany 2021 (30 % recycling)**, **Germany 2045 (100 % recycling)**, and **Germany 2045 (30 % recycling)**.
