Single cell transcriptional profiling of native, transplanted, or organoid SCA1+ and SCA1- lung epithelial cells

The study examined the ability of SCA1+ and SCA1- lung epithelial organoids to be transplanted and retained by donor mice. SCA1- and SCA1+ lung epithelial organoids were grown then transplanted into bleomycin pre-treated nude mice. Native cells, transplanted cells, and primary organoid cells were collected and analyzed using single-cell RNA-seq to determine the ability of transplanted organoid cells to re-establish a native transcriptional profile.
