Biochar, a widely used agent in soil and sediment cleanup, holds immense potential for remediating contaminated environments. However, the impact of pyrolysis temperature on arsenic (As) and lead (Pb) biogeochemistry in sediment under reducing conditions remains poorly understood. Here, we explore how varying pyrolysis temperatures of biochar and the addition of glucose affect the release, transformation, and bacterial community's role concerning As and Pb in contaminated sediments.
