资源简介:
The Davis Aerodrome Project (DAP) collected a range of environmental survey data over several field seasons to support a comprehensive environmental assessment of the proposed aerodrome. This data includes flora, fauna, soils, lake ecosystem, nearshore, marine, air quality and meteorological information which has been collected by a number of different methods, and extends across the current Davis Station, proposed aerodrome and supporting infrastructure footprint (Ridge Site), previous sites considered for the aerodrome (Heidemann Valley, Adams Flat), as well as locations across the Vestfold Hills away from any of the proposed developments. This dataset contains AWS data collected for the DAP. Three sites (Heidemann Valley, Adams Flat and the Ridge) were established in the Davis region during different summer seasons between the 2012/13 and 2018/19. Site locations were selected based on areas of interest to the Capability Development Project and later the Year-Round Aviation Access scoping project and DAP. Sites at Adams flat and the Ridge were collocated with AQ2 and AQ3 air quality monitoring stations. The installations located at Adams Flat and Heidemann Valley installed in 2012/13 were originally designed by Petra Heil (for a non-related science project), and instruments purchased through Campbell Scientific. The later installation at the Ridge site in 2018/19 used similar components to the earlier installations (all sourced from Campbell Scientific), however with less instrumentation. Instruments at all sites were attached to a UT20 lattice tower. Sensors attached to the Adams Flat and Heidemann Valley towers measured wind speed, wind direction, and temperature at 1, 2 and 4m heights above ground level, and humidity, solar radiation, air pressure, snow depth, GPS position, date and time. Instruments similar to those installed at the Adams Flat and Heidemann Valley sites where installed at the Ridge site to measure temperature, wind speed and direction at 2m, as well as relative humidity, solar radiation, barometric pressure. Data were recorded at 10 min and hourly intervals across all sites and stored internally on a data logger as well as on a Compact Flash card as a removable backup option. Data were downloaded monthly either remotely, via a RF450 spread spectrum radio, or manually during sites visits. Once downloaded, the data were added to existing datasets, the graphical analysis updated, and visually checked for issues.Spatial CoveragesAdams Flat - Latitude: -68.55417 Longitude: 78.014548Ridge Site – Latitude: -68.551938 Longitude: 78.053264Heidemann Valley – Latitude: -68.575944 Longitude: 78.0154Data resolution relates to site locationsTemporal CoveragesHeidemann Valley site - Start date: 2013-01-26 - Stop date: 2018-04-10Adams Flat site – Start date: 2013-01-26 - Stop date: 2021-11-30 (Gap in data 2014-03-20 to 2015-03-02).
