Michigan Air Quality Control Regions

This layer displays the Prevention of Significant Deterioration (PSD) major and minor source baseline dates. These dates signify when emissions from a facility begin consuming increment, and therefore, need to be included in a PSD increment modeling analysis. The methodology for setting major and minor source baseline dates is determined by EPA and more information in New Source Review (NSR) Permitting and associated modeling can be found on EPA's NSR Permitting site. This layer contains a polygon layer with the AQCR geometry and a related table with the following attributes: Field Name Alias Description Region Region Identifies the Air Quality Control Region number for a specific area SourceType Source Type The Major Source baseline dates are set by regulation and is the date after which emissions from major stationary sources affect the available PSD increment. The Minor Source baseline date is triggered by the submission of a complete PSD application for a facility within or impacting the baseline area (AQCR). This is the date after which emission from minor stationary sources affect the available PSD increment. Pollutant Pollutant Identifies which criteria pollutant the data applies to. PermitNumber Permit Number The permit number of the first complete PSD application within the AQCR which set the minor source baseline date for that pollutant. FacilityName Facility Name The facility name of the first complete PSD application within the AQCR which set the minor source baseline date for that pollutant. FacilityCity Facility City The city that the facility is located of the first complete PSD application within the AQCR which set the minor source baseline date for that pollutant. BaselineDate Baseline Date This is the date after which emission from minor stationary source affect the available PSD increment.
