资源简介:
Background: The purpose of this feasibility study was to gather knowledge that would inform a future larger study using at-home SARS-CoV-2 testing and digital tools as well as to assess performance of the Quidel QuickVue device in detecting SARS-CoV-2.
Materials/Methods: Standardized questionnaires were completed by participants through a smartphone app, measurements for participant-reported usability and acceptability of the at-home Quidel QuickVue rapid antigen test for SARS-CoV-2 were gathered, as well as participants’ feedback about the CareEvolution MyDataHelps app features. Key process metrics and variables important to the design of a future study to evaluate the efficacy of widespread at-home testing in a community for preventing transmission of SARS-CoV-2 were developed.
Outcome/Impact: The feasibility study outcomes indicated that self-tests for SARS-CoV-2 with a smartphone app for assistance and reporting was a highly feasible testing modality among a diverse population of adults in the United States. The use of self-tests for COVID-19 with the MyDataHelps app for testing assistance was shown to be a feasible and accessible testing modality across gender, age, and racial groups.
