Suaeda maritima Transcriptome or Gene expression

Salt tolerance is although a feature representing halophytes, most studies on salt tolerance in plants has been carried out in glycophytes. Transcriptome profiling representing differentially expressed genes in the plant grown in presence and absence of salinity is also available for only a limited number of halophytes. Hence the preset study was conducted to understand the molecular basis of salt tolerance through transcriptome profiling in the halophyte S. maritima, which is an emerging model plant for salt tolerance research.
