This dataset compiles the species checklist and geographic distribution records of scleractinian (reef-building) corals in the Paracel Islands, retrieved from the Hainan Reef-building Coral Diversity Information Resource Database. The included coral families are Pocilloporidae, Fungiidae, Lobophylliidae, Faviidae, Plesiastreidae, Diploastreiidae, Acroporidae, Poritidae, and Agariciidae, among others.
