The Importance of Being Constrained - Dataset

This repository contains all of the raw datafiles used in the creation of the paper 'The Importance of Being Constrained'

File explanation: Because of the large amounts of data, it has been turned into several rar-archives:

- Performance_data: this contains all of the performance results on BBOB functions of the SHADE and L-SHADE algorithms in IOHprofiler format. For L-shade, different versions are included where more parameters are tracked, and used to generate the figures in the paper.

- Modular_DE_code: The python code used for SHADE and L-SHADE. 

-DE_TIOBR: The notebooks used for generating data, processing it and creating the visualizations, More detail is included in the readme.

-TIOBR_MathematicaNotebooks: Mathematica notebooks which were used to create figures 4, 12, 13 and 14 from the paper
