CUREd+ Linked Emergency Care Data Set (ECDS) - Emergency Department (ED) attendances

This dataset contains structured records of attendances at Emergency Departments (EDs) in England. It includes information on patient demographics, presenting complaints, investigations, diagnoses, acuity, treatments, and discharge destination. It is based on the Emergency Care Data Set (ECDS) minimum dataset mandated by NHS England and submitted routinely by EDs as part of national reporting requirements. ECDS replaced the HES A&E dataset as the national standard for Emergency Department data collection from 2018. While both datasets overlapped between 2018 and 2020, ECDS provides broader and more structured clinical information.
