We tested using a high resolution flow cytometer the number and size distribution of Evs in blood during the day. We tested cell free plasma (blood centrifuged at 500xg, 2,500xg and 12,000xg) from several donors at 7:30 AM, 2:30 PM and 7:30 PM Conclusion: There is a variability in the number and possibly size of EVs during the day, that could be due to diurnal/circadian variations in the complement system.
