Untersuchungen zeigen, dass Mütter einen deutlichen Einfluss auf das Essverhalten ihrer Töchter haben. Ziel der vorliegenden Studie war es daher, die Beziehung zwischen bulimischen Töchtern und ihren Müttern aus Sicht der Tochter zu betrachten. Es wurde untersucht, ob die Betroffenen einen Zusammenhang zwischen ihrer Erkrankung und der Beziehung zu ihrer Mutter sehen bzw. welche anderen Erklärungen die Tochter für die Entwicklung ihrer Krankheit hat. Dazu wurden fünf Frauen mit Bulimie zu ihrer Erkrankung und ihrer Beziehung zu ihrer Mutter mittels narrativen Interviews befragt. Die gewonnenen Daten wurden sodann mittels dokumentarischer Methode ausgewertet und dabei eine formulierende und reflektierende Interpretation, sowie, im letzten Schritt der Auswertung, eine komparative Analyse durchgeführt. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass die Mütter in den Augen ihrer Töchter einen Einfluss auf die Entwicklung der Erkrankung haben. Allerdings konnten noch weitere Aspekte festgestellt werden, wie der Einfluss von Hänseleien innerhalb und ausserhalb der Familie sowie die Nutzung sozialer Medien. Research shows that mothers have a significant influence on their daughters’ eating behavior. The aim of the present study was therefore to look at the relationship between bulimic daughters and their mothers, from the daughter’s point of view. It was investigated whether the affected women see a connection between their mothers or what other explanations the daughter has for the development of her illness. For this purpose, five women with bulimia were interviewed about their illness and their relationship with their mother by means of narrative interviews. The data obtained were then analyzed using documentary methods, with formulative and reflective interpretation and in a final step of evaluation, a comparative analysis. The results show that mothers have an influence on the development of the disease in the eyes of their daughters. However, other aspects could be identified, such as the influence of teasing within and outside the family as well as the use of social media. Gli studi dimostrano che le madri hanno un influsso significativo sul comportamento alimentare delle figlie. Lo scopo dello studio è stato, quindi, quello di esaminare la relazione tra figlie bulimiche e le rispettive madri dal punto di vista della figlia. Si è esaminato se le persone colpite vedono una correlazione tra la loro malattia e il rapporto con la madre o quali altre spiegazioni hanno addotto per spiegare lo sviluppo della loro malattia. A tal fine, a cinque donne affette da bulimia sono state poste domande sulla loro malattia e sul rapporto con la loro madre mediante interviste di tipo narrativo. I dati ottenuti sono stati poi analizzati con il metodo documentario ed è stata fornita un’interpretazione riflettente e formulante nonché, nell’ultima fase della valutazione, un’analisi comparativa.
