Confocal data of Captopus depressiceps, Electrothroscus yanpingae, and Pseudopactopus robustus

This dataset contains the raw confocal laser scanning microscopy (CLSM) slices for the specimens of Captopus depressiceps (NIGP173915), Electrothroscus yanpingae (NIGP173916) and Pseudopactopus robustus (NIGP173917 and NIGP173918) from mid-Cretaceous Burmese amber. This dataset is associated with the publication "New genera and species of the family Throscidae (Coleoptera: Elateroidea) in mid-Cretaceous Burmese amber" (DOI:10.3390/insects12010063).

Confocal images were obtained with a Zeiss LSM710 confocal laser scanning microscope, using 488 nm Argon laser excitation line. Both original CZI files and exported TIFF stacks are provided.
