Complete genome sequence of Lichenicola sp. GTC18330, 18331 isolated from bee products in Japan

Lichenicola species are classified within the family Acetobacteraceae. Cells are Gram-stain-negative, rod-shaped, non-motile and facultatively anaerobic. In this study, we present a complete genome sequence of a novel Lichenicola species isolated from bee products in Japan. These strains were initially identified using a MALDI-Biotyper, following the manufacturer's instructions (Bruker Japan). The identity of the strain was confirmed by determining the sequences of the 16S rRNA gene. The complete genome sequence of this strain has been determined. The sequencing was performed through a combination of long-read sequencing by nanopore (Oxford Nanopore Technologies, Tokyo, Japan) and short-read sequencing by DNBSEQ (MGITech Co., Ltd., Shenzhen, China).
