Transcriptomic analysis in brown adipose tissue from the brown adipocytes-specific Crif1 deficiency mice

This study investigates the coordination of thermogenesis between brown and beige adipocytes, with a focus on mitokines induced by mitochondrial stress, and its role in maintaining metabolic homeostasis. To investigate the effects of abnormalities in brown adipocyte-specific mitochondrial proteostasis, we generated a mouse model of mitochondrial dysfunction induced by the genetic inactivation of the Crif1 gene in brown adipocytes.
