收藏资源简介:
There is currently no effective vaccine for Plasmodium vivax and the majority of vaccine research has focused on a single candidate, PvDBP, in part because P. vivax can not currently be cultured continuously in vitro. In this study we used the closely phylogenetically related species P. knowlesi as a model for P. vivax, and used CRISPR/Cas9 engineering to knockout potential vaccine targets, and/or replace them with the orthologous gene sequences from P. vivax. This forms part of a broader study assessing the products of these genes as potential vaccine targets. This data is part of a pre-publication release.
