Motor Vehicle Duty Rates 2018-19

Duties are administered by the State Revenue Office pursuant to the Duties Act 2000 (the Act). The Act creates and charges duties on a number of identified transactions. The Act is divided into chapters which impose duty on different transactions. Duty is collected through either the lodgement of documents evidencing the transfer or returns.This file contains the rates of duty which apply for vehicles transferred on or after 1 July 2018 and before 1 July 2019. The file contains the following fields: Type of Vehicle/Value, new Vehicle Rate (vehicles not previously registered) and Used Vehicle Rate (vehicles previously registered).
