We analyzed 12 pediatric AML bone marrow RNA in order to determine the whole transcriptome expression levels by HTA 2.0 microarrays. Results provided insights into the regulation, at transcript level, of driver genes involved in primary chemiotherapy failure (after two cycles of Induction phase; blasts>5%). Frozen bone marrow (BM) samples belonging to pediatric cohort have been collected. Four of these patients, named Primary Induction Failure (PIF), failed to achieve complete remission (CR) after two cycles of induction therapy (ICE), reporting all but one a blast rate between 10-20%. On the contrary, other 8 cases were named Primary Induction Responses (PIR).
