This feature layer view represents the housing opportunity site inventories prepared by each of the Bay Area's 101 cities and nine counties as part of the 2015-2023 Regional Housing Need Assessment (RHNA) housing element cycle. The view contains 20,827 parcels the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) was able to match from the total list of 21,073 parcels the region's jurisdictions identified to contain their RHNA housing allocations. City and county housing element sites matched, by county, are: Alameda County - 2,305 of 2,365 (97%), Contra Costa County - 3,855 of 3,921 (98%), Marin County - 575 of 580 (99%), Napa County - 207 of 215 (96%), San Francisco - 6,152 of 6,152 (100%), San Mateo County - 3,701 of 3,746 (99%), Santa Clara County - 2,085 of 2,117 (98%), Solano County - 1,277 of 1,282 (99%), and Sonoma County - 670 of 695 (96%). Note: - Although jurisdictions have identified these sites as potential locations for the development of new housing, it does not mean that development is either imminent or will ever occur at these locations. In addition, all projects proposed for these sites are subject to the full notification and review process followed by the jurisdiction where they are located. - The information in the attribute table was filled in to the extent that it was provided by the jurisdiction.
