Catalogue and mapping of the thermo-optical properties of urban coatings in use. Two case studies of vulnerable neighbourhoods in Madrid: Orcasur and Picazo

This dataset compiles visible reflectance, solar reflectance, and thermal emissivity values for 94 in use urban materials found in façades and pavements found and measured in situ in two neighbourhoods in Madrid: Orcasur and Picazo. These urban areas were selected as study cases for the Matemad research Project. The objective of the research is to support the characterization of urban surfaces and to enable the assessment of their impact on outdoor microclimates, building energy demand, and urban thermal comfort. Data were collected between 2023 and 2025 within the project.
