A Revision of the Genus Anomiopsyllus Baker 1904 (Siphonaptera: Hystrichopsyllidae) with Studies on the Biology of Anomiopsyllus falsicalifornicus

Doctorate Dissertation: I.A Revision and description of the Genus 'Anomipsyllus': Redescriptions and comparisons of new Species 'Anomiosyllus nudatus (Subspecies 'A. n. nudatus, n. starki, and n. hiemalis')and of species A. walkeri, A. princei, A. novomexicanensis, A. amphibolus, A. montanus, A traubi, A. oaxacae, A. falisicalifornicus (Subspecies' A. f. falsicalifornicus, A.f. congruens, A.f.) (keys and diagrams included). II. Study on the biology and ecology of A. falsicalifornicus: In a four year field study, the distribution, abundance, and seasonal occurrence of these fleas are examined in the light of host and habitat. In laboratory studies adult behavior, immature stages, host relationship, and reaction of all stages to climatic conditions are examined.
