Nitzschia laevis is one of the most promising microalgae to achieve high yield of fucoxanthin and EPA. The aim of this project is to reveal the internal regulation mechanism of mixotrophic cultivation and heterotrophic cultivation of N. laevis, and explained the increasement of fucoxanthin content from the transcriptome perspective via RNA sequencing.
