More than a minor input: The functional role of livestock dung in linking vegetation and soil seed banks on the Tibetan Plateau

Livestock dung serves as a key vehicle for seed dispersal in alpine grasslands, yet its quantitative contribution to soil seed banks remains unclear. Through field surveys and germination experiments across two grazing seasons, we compared yak and sheep dung seed banks in alpine shrub and meadow habitats.
