This dataset contains the raw and processed data used in the study “Clinical feasibility of smartphone-based fundus imaging in dogs and cats: a comparative study of four handheld devices.”The dataset includes demographic information for all animals enrolled in the study (species, breed, age, sex, neuter status) as well as imaging results obtained using five retinal imaging systems: one reference handheld fundus camera (Optomed Aurora) and four smartphone-based fundus imaging devices (iExaminer Panoptic, WikiOptics NUN WFE-02S, LabSD OQVet, and Volk VistaView).For each imaging set, the dataset provides:imaging conditions (mydriatic vs non-mydriatic eye)image quality scores assigned by expert evaluators using a 10-point Likert scaleevaluator preference among the four smartphone-based systemsimage acquisition time recorded for each deviceImage quality was independently assessed by 32 veterinary ophthalmologists. Each imaging set therefore generated multiple independent evaluations.The dataset also includes summary tables used for statistical analyses reported in the manuscript, including image quality comparisons, evaluator preference distributions, and acquisition time measurements.This dataset allows full reproducibility of the statistical analyses presented in the article.
