资源简介:
New applications (hereafter, apps) that register the results of doing sport activities in varied locations have had an impact on the number of people who engage in physical activities (PAs), as well as how these activities are done. Sport clubs and centres and sport tourism destinations have also integrated these apps into their offers in varied ways. However, coronavirus disease-19 restrictions have decreased the level of PAs in sport centres and clubs and sport tourism destinations. Sport and fitness apps could have a major effect on attempts to restart PAs and revive revisit intention regarding PA-friendly locations or destinations. Researchers have yet to gain a full understanding of the antecedents of either sport app use or sport tourism destination revisit intention. Drawing on consumer behaviour theories, this study focused on whether commitment positively influences satisfaction and whether competence has a mediating effect on the relationship between commitment and satisfaction. The research model also included testing whether satisfaction has a positive effect on use intensity and, finally, whether use intensity positively influences sport app users’ revisit intention. A questionnaire based on the existing literature was used to collect data from sport centres and other locations where individuals do PAs. Analyses of 362 sport app users’ responses provided results that support the model and indicate that all the posited relationships are statistically significant. This study thus confirmed that intentions to revisit sport-related locations (e.g. fitness centres, sport clubs and sport tourism destinations) has a positive connection with sport and fitness app use intensity. Overall, PAs practiced in specific places by sport app users are a complex outcome of different instrumental mediators.
