The 100-meter resolution spatial distribution dataset of evergreen coniferous forests in China (1980s) characterizes the spatial distribution of evergreen coniferous forests across China during the 1980s. The dataset was developed using multiple data sources including China's 1:10 scale land use data and its dynamic data, county-level false-color composite images precisely corrected by Landsat satellites acquired concurrently with the land use data, China's 1:500,000-scale grassland resource data, 1:1,000,000-scale soil type data, and 1:1,000,000-scale vegetation type data. It was constructed under environments such as MGE, Arc/Info or ArcGIS, via a methodology combining expert analysis and remote sensing automatic classification, and completed through thematic mapping based on content and regional divisions.
