资源简介:
Annual maximum degree heating weeks (DHWmax) calculated for 100 coral containing regions. DHW is the sum over 84 days (12 weeks) of max[(T(d)-(MxMT+1)), 0]/7 where T(d) is the sea surface temperature on day d and MxMT is the maximum climatological monthly average temperature for the location in question. DHW is calculated relative to two different MxMT: the standard reference period developed by NOAA's Coral Reef Watch program and a new version based on the previous 30 years. DHW is calculated using the observed (actual) temperatures or counterfactual daily temperatures calculated according to Giguere et al. 2024. The coral regions reference the MEOW (Marine Ecoregions of the World) regions defined in https://www.worldwildlife.org/publications/marine-ecoregions-of-the-world-a-bioregionalization-of-coastal-and-shelf-areas
