Using a soil baiting technique, soils retrieved from a 200 acre research farm under different agronomic practices, were incubated at 15 and 25 degrees Celsius to test the effect of temperature, crop rotation and tillage in the community composition of oomycetes. The moderate susceptible cultivar Sloan was used as a bait and rhizosphere soil collected for DNA extraction followed by sequencing of the ITS1 region.
