The Beauveria bassiana HN6 strain was isolated from silkworm cadaver of white muscardine disease and preserved in the Sericultural Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences. It is highly infectious and pathogenic to the economically important insect silkworm, Bombyx mori and its infection to the silkworm always cause serious damage to the sericultural production. For a better understanding of the virulence of the B. bassiana HN6 strain against silkworm, the host-pathogen interaction and the pharmacological effects of the batryticated silkworms, the genome B. bassiana HN6 strain was determined to analyze its regulation mechanism of virulence and synthesis of secondary metabolites.
