Policy and legislation for vacancy in Ireland, 1990-2025

A comprehensive inventory of Irish government policies and financial instruments addressing property vacancy and dereliction from 1990 to 2025, including classification of the vacancy types each initiative targets. This dataset was compiled as part of an academic research project based in University College Dublin. You can find more information on the project here. The policy analysis drew on policy documents, legislation, reports, academic literature and interviews with experts. The entries are organised chronologically.
