This dataset includes 180 water samples collected in 2023 Klamath lake and rivers, springs, and irrigation canals in and around the Klamath Basin. Samples were processed via solid-phase extraction and analyzed with liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS). The dataset contains raw non-targeted liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) data in various formats, including MZxml, timeseries, wiff2, and wiff.scan. The dataset provides comprehensive documentation of each file type, sample names, as well as the methods used for data collection and processing. This study examines how agricultural and natural water systems differ in chemical composition across the Klamath Basin (Oregon and California). Using non-targeted mass spectrometry and multivariate analysis, the project compares non target data from Upper Klamath Lake, springs, rivers, and irrigation canals to assess whether agricultural waterways provide similar ecosystem functions to natural ones. The findings aim to inform water quality monitoring and agroecosystem management.
