Research and Development Results of Project POIR.01.01.01-00-0345/19 "Praetorian II – A Multi-Module Special-Purpose Vehicle for Uniformed Services"

This dataset documents the results of research and development works carried out under Project No. POIR.01.01.01-00-0345/19 "Praetorian II – A Multi-Module Special-Purpose Vehicle for Uniformed Services", co-financed by the National Centre for Research and Development under the Smart Growth Operational Programme 2014–2020. Project value: PLN 1,110,505.80; EU funding: PLN 602,983.84. The objective of the project was to develop and verify under real-world conditions a multi-functional vehicle with a modular body meeting legally defined safety requirements, designed for Police units (NPP, OPP, SPPP), the Border Guard and Municipal Guard. The dataset includes: detailed technical parameters of the base vehicle Ford Transit Custom (type FAC) and the Praetorian II special body; results of dynamic tests (10G overload tests in 5 directions) in accordance with standard PN-EN:1789+A2:2015, conducted by Łukasiewicz – PIMOT (report BLB.068.21B); results of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) tests in accordance with UNECE Regulation No. 10.06, conducted by Łukasiewicz – PIMOT (report BLE.155.21B); TÜV SÜD certification documentation for seats, safety belts and ISOFIX anchorages (reports 122107-21-TAC, 122106-21-TAC); EU whole vehicle type-approval documentation (certificate e322018/85800043*00, issued by CSDD Latvia, 14.10.2021); comparative analysis against alternative market solutions and assessment of implementation potential; complete index of research and technical documentation for the project. All test results are positive. As a result of the project, a significantly improved product will be created - the dual-function patrol and intervention vehicle, Praetorian II. It distinguishes itself from existing market solutions through: the possibility of reconfiguring the vehicle's body by the user according to current needs and intervention types.
