Cardiac performance data

<b>Variables in the dataset:</b><b>Coast:</b> Two coasts were samples for this dataset. The West coast was sampled at Namaqua National Park (NNP), the Southern coast at Garden Route National Park (GRNP).<b>Temperature:</b> Thermal treatments used for the acute thermal exposure of <i>S. capensis</i>. Five thermal treatments were used (24, 29, 34, 39, and 44ºC).<b>Cadmium:</b> Cadmium chloride (CdCl₂) was used for the acute chemical exposure of <i>S. capensis</i>. Three concentrations were used: Control, Environmentally Relevant Concentration +10% (ERC +10%), and Environmentally Relevant Concentration +20% (ERC +20%).<b>Cardiac Performance (Heart rate):</b> The resultant heart rates of <i>S. capensis</i> per minute after acute chemical and thermal exposure. individual and average heart rates are included.
