Tidal Feature Classification Catalogue

This contains the catalogue described in Desmons et al. (2025). This work focuses on the identification and classification of galaxy tidal features in HSC-SSP galaxies using a combination of machine learning and visual classification. The catalogue contains the following columns: object_id: The ID of the object as listed in the HSC-SSP database ra: Right Ascension dec: Declination phot_z: Photometric redshift (photoz_median from photoz_mizuki catalogue) stellar_mass: Stellar mass (from photoz_mizuki catalogue) P_merge: Classifier score from the ML model vis_class: Whether the object was visually classified (1) or not (0) tidal_feature_vis: Whether the object has tidal features from visual classification (1) or not (0) shell: Whether the object was visually classified as having a shell stream: Whether the object was visually classified as having a stream tail: Whether the object was visually classified as having a tail plume: Whether the object was visually classified as having a plume or asymetric halo double_nucleus: Whether the object was visually classified as having a double nucleus vis_class_flag: Whether the visual classification revealed imaging artefacts in the image
