Phoneme and Word Recognition Test Outcomes from Auditory Diagnostics and Error-based Treatment trial

This data-collection contains the Phoneme and Word Recognition data of the participants of the Auditory Diagnostics and Error-based Treatment (AuDiET) trial.

Research Aim
The main objective of the AuDiET trial was to assess the effectiveness of an integrated program of fitting and training interventions aimed at reducing unexpected variability and addressing the specific error patterns of each recipient. The participants underwent a series of diagnostic tests during five visits, including the Phoneme Recognition in Quiet (PRQ) test and Speech in quiet (CVC) test.
Based on the outcomes of PRQ test at the first visit, the participants received interventions concerning both the fitting (visit 2) of their CI and personalized auditory training (visit 3) based on their personal error patterns. Effect of training was assessed at visit 4 and long-term retention of the interventions at visit 5.
